Setup Pre-Requisites Note: If you opt to use the Windows installer, most pre-requisites for running BYOND servers (including MariaDB) are provided out of the box. If you are running on a Windows Server OS. You might need to install the x86 Visual C++ 2015 Runtime to run BYOND. If you wish to use OpenDream you will need to install the required dotnet SDK manually. tgstation-server needs a relational database to store it's data. If you're just a hobbyist server host, you can probably get away with using SQLite for this. SQLite is bundled with TGS and simply requires you to specify where on your machine you want to store the data. HOWEVER SQLite is not a battle-ready relational database. It doesn't scale well for any use case. TGS strongly recommends you use one of its supported standalone databases. Setting one of these up is more involved but worth the effort.
