In the past, the out-of-the-box support wasn't production ready because it lacked built-in integration with OAuth2 / OIDC Authorization servers to obtain and validate access tokens. For real world usage, extensions had to be provided in the form of JAAS callback handlers, which is what Strimzi Kafka OAuth provides. Recent versions of Apache Kafka® provide production quality integration with OAuth2 / OIDC Authorization servers on both the client and the server side. However, Strimzi OAuth supports more client and server workflows, has more configuration options, and works with both opaque and JWT access tokens. It is very well tested with Keycloak, and also provides a token-based authorization mechanism that integrates with Keycloak Authorization Services. It is also the OAuth2 integration library of choice for Strimzi projects. - OAuth2 for Authentication - OAuth2 for Authorization - Building - Installing - Configuring the authorization server - Configuring the Kafka Broker - Configuring the Kafka Broker authentication - Configuring the listeners - Configuring the JAAS login module - Enabling the custom callbacks - Enabling the custom principal builder - Configuring the OAuth2 - Configuring the token validation - Validat","default_branch":null,"files":null,"tree":[],"storefront":"/r/strimzi","claimed":false,"request_supported":{"post":"https://gitbuyer.com/r/strimzi/strimzi-kafka-oauth/request-supported","requests":0},"note":"indexed from public GitHub; nothing is for sale on this page.
