VTT itself is an abbreviation for Virtual Table Top, which is what the app is. The application is self-hosted, meaning the server will be running on the computer that clicked the host button, and all players will connect to that device to play together. There are no dedicated servers, meaning the host must have a public, fixed IP address, and they must have the respective port forwarded to their device. There is support for dedicated server mode (read below).
