Navidrome is a self-hosted music server. It indexes your local music files, exposes them via the Subsonic API, and handles streaming. SoundVault uses it as the music library backend - browsing artists and albums, playing songs, and fetching cover art all go through Navidrome. Last.fm powers SoundVault's Discover tab. Tag-based exploration uses Last.fm charts and tag endpoints, while SoundVault resolves matches back into Navidrome so you can open local artists, albums, and tracks directly. Soulseek is a peer-to-peer network for sharing music. slskd is a self-hosted Soulseek client with an HTTP API. SoundVault uses it to search the Soulseek network and queue downloads directly from the UI - so you can find a release, download it, and it lands in your music folder where Navidrome picks it up after a scan.
