Building the project - Windows ------------------------------ To prepare your build environment, following requirements have to be met: 1. Installed Visual Studio 2022 with Windows SDK. 2. (Optional) Installed Vulkan SDK (if you want to build Vulkan renderer; otherwise, it can be excluded from building) 3. Pulled external dependencies via Git submodules: git submodule update --init --recursive 4. (Optional) If Vulkan renderer is to be included, navigate to Deps/glslang directory and run python update glslang sources.py 5. CMake (3.21 or newer), with cmake.exe visible in PATH 6. msbuild.exe visible in PATH (for VS2022 Community it is typically located in C:\\Program Files\\Microsoft Visual Studio\\2022\\Community\\MSBuild\\Current\\Bin ) Visual Studio build To build the project, load main solution file in Visual Studio and build it as normal - build system will automatically pre-build dependencies on the first run. CMake build NOTE: This has only been tested using Visual Studio and might not work with other compilers (ex. MinGW).
