Originally created in 2003 by Axel Andersson at Zanka Software as a modern alternative to Hotline, it has been maintained as open-source software ever since. A Wired server lets you host a private community where users can join public or private chat rooms, exchange messages on discussion boards, share files, and manage accounts with fine-grained permissions. All communications are encrypted end-to-end between client and server. This repository contains the Wired 3.0 implementation in Swift: - WiredSwift — reusable Swift library for building Wired clients - wired3 — server daemon (macOS and Linux) - WiredServerApp — macOS GUI for local server administration The project is currently in beta. It is already usable, but it is still evolving quickly. If you want the latest version, always download the newest beta build from the project's GitHub Releases. Releases: https://github.com/nark/WiredSwift/releases Client compatibility: Wired 3.0 uses a new version of the P7 protocol and is not compatible with older Wired 2.x clients (including Zankasoftware-era clients). Only Wired 3.x clients can connect to a Wired 3.0 server. --- Table of Contents - What changed in Wired 3.0 - Features - Security - Comparison table - Getting Started as a Server Administrator - macOS with Wired Server app - Linux with a DEB package - Linux with an RPM package - Docker - Buildi","default_branch":null,"files":null,"tree":[],"storefront":"/r/nark","claimed":false,"request_supported":{"post":"https://gitbuyer.com/r/nark/WiredSwift/request-supported","requests":0},"note":"indexed from public GitHub; nothing is for sale on this page.
