The Lockstep RTS Engine (LRE) began as a Unity-based framework for building deterministic, lockstep RTS games — including core systems such as physics, pathfinding, and simulation logic. Over time, this project has grown far beyond its original scope. 🔄 Evolution This repository is now part of a broader effort to extract and refine its core ideas into standalone, engine-agnostic libraries , including: - FixedMathSharp → deterministic fixed-point math - SwiftCollections → high-performance deterministic collections - GridForge → voxel/grid-based spatial systems - Trailblazer → deterministic pathfinding and agent navigation - Gravitas → deterministic 3d/2d/mixed physics These modules are being actively developed, tested, and productionized independently. 🎯 Current Direction The long-term goal is to build a: Fully deterministic, lockstep-capable simulation framework that is engine-agnostic, scalable, and suitable for RTS, simulation, and large-scale multiplayer systems. This repository will remain as: - A historical reference - A prototype sandbox - A proof-of-concept integration layer 🧭 What to Expect - Core systems may be deprecated or migrated - New development is focused in the modular libraries listed above - Future integrations will favor composition over monolithic design --- If you're exploring this repo, y","default_branch":null,"files":null,"tree":[],"storefront":"/r/mrdav30","claimed":false,"request_supported":{"post":"https://gitbuyer.com/r/mrdav30/LockstepRTSEngine/request-supported","requests":0},"note":"indexed from public GitHub; nothing is for sale on this page.
