Usage At a minimum, the hostname of your mailcow server (either through --host or MAILCOW EXPORTER HOST ) and an API-Key (either through --api-key or MAILCOW API KEY ) must be provided. The API-key should be a readonly API key that can be generated by logging into the mailcow management interface and navigating to 'Access API'. Because this exporter provides sensitive information, it provides a couple of methods protecting access to the endpoint. By default, accessing the endpoints is only allowed by providing the same API-Key as used for the exporter ( --api-key / MAILCOW EXPORTER API KEY ) as a ?token=YOUR APIKEY-HERE URL parameter. It is recommended however, to manually set a token that is different from the API-Key using --security-token / MAILCOW EXPORTER SECURITY TOKEN . In order to use token based authentication in prometheus, use the following config: Disable Access Protection (not recommended) It is possible to disable access protection by using --security-insecure-disable-access-protection=1 or MAILCOW EXPORTER INSECURE DISABLE ACCESS PROTECTION=1 . This is heavily discouraged and should only be used if you either provide a different access protection method in front of the exporter or you only access the exporter in non-public networks.
