Unlike heavier provisioning tools like EasyEngine or Ansible, it does not require external runtimes such as Python or Docker, meaning a lighter and simpler approach to WordPress servers. The current installer supports Ubuntu 18.04 through 24.04. Ubuntu 26.04 is not yet supported. New installations should normally use Ubuntu 24.04; Ubuntu 20.04 and 18.04 are legacy choices that require Ubuntu Pro or ESM for continued Ubuntu package maintenance.
