A Warning ## I consider this my outline exploration vehicle. There is no clear vision what the result should look like nor what it will be. Currently it's new file formats since they are easy to implement. It takes usually 1-2 days to implement a new one. With those new formats comes the need for far more efficient memory usage. Opening a 50MB iTunes XML document can bring a 4GB machine to it's knees. So the next big thing will be bringing those memory costs down. Major features one would expect are missing: + find/replace + Undo Due to the way how Cactus writes it's documents you might be surprised at what you get after a save. For example, the RSS file type writes only RSS 2.0 files even though you opened an atom feed. Each file write generates a new file.
