Running a local development server Register a Fitbit developer app Go to https://dev.fitbit.com/apps/new to register an application. You'll need this to be able to access the Fitbit API. Set the OAuth 2.0 Application Type to either Client or Personal. Personal apps will only be able to access your own data, and should not be used for publicly-hosted dashboards. For the redirect URL, use http://localhost:3000/login/callback (or the appropriate domain if hosted somewhere other than localhost). You can add multiple URLs to the field separated by spaces. Set the access type to read/write if you need to modify data. Once you create the application, it will be assigned a OAuth 2.0 Client ID . Create a .env.local file in the same directory as this README, and put the ID in it: If the application type is Personal, you can enable intraday data requests (e.g. calories/minute) with: Docker Compose If you prefer Docker Compose, you can start a development server with compose up . Installation Install the latest version of nodejs. Clone or download this repository.
