The zsh ( dbt ) and fish ( dbt.fish ) scripts support both dbt Core and Fusion , including the dbtf alias created by the Fusion installer. They auto-detect which binary is on your $PATH and use the appropriate completion backend — no configuration needed: - dbt Core : uses Click's built-in runtime completion - Fusion ( dbt and dbtf ): uses dbt completions zsh/fish (clap complete), cached by binary mtime for near-instant completions Model and selector completions from manifest.json work the same way for both. Example usage (using the redshift package): Installation (bash) This script can be installed by moving it to your home directory (as a dotfile), then sourcing it in your /.bash profile file. Installation (bash script on zsh) The z shell requires a bit more work, you'll also want to automatically load compinit and bashcompinit if they are not already loaded.
