Open the command palette ( F1 or Ctrl+Shift+P ) and select Dev Containers: Reopen in Container . This will automatically build and start the development container environment. --- Build Instructions Or --- Debugging and Testing 1. Start the MQTT broker 2. Run the application Or 3. Check Prometheus metrics In another terminal, run: --- Testing MQTT Publish (pubtest) A sample Go program is included at cmd/pubtest/main.go for publishing test messages to the MQTT broker. Usage Run the publisher directly with go run : This will publish a test message to the MQTT broker at mqtt://mosquitto:1883 .
