Quickstart · From anywhere · Inference · Training · How it works · CLI reference · Contributing An inference server serves whatever models fit on one machine. Grid puts every machine you have behind one OpenAI-compatible endpoint . Inference. Each request routes to whichever computer runs the right model. Running one takes an inference engine — bring yours, or let Grid install one. Ollama, vLLM, LM Studio, MLX, llama.cpp and ComfyUI stay where they are; Grid does not replace them, it networks them. Training. The same fleet teaches a small model your work, and the data, the attempts and the weights never leave your network. It belongs here because RL fine-tuning is roughly 75% sampling, sampling is inference, and inference is what a grid already does. Intranet — the old word for a private network. An AI intranet is every computer you own, answering as one. Local by default: no account, no relay, nothing to sign into. Your apps point at a machine on your own network, and it keeps working if we disappear. From outside your network: Working from anywhere. --- Quickstart Install — on each computer (macOS / Linux): You get grid (and the agrid alias) on your PATH — a self-contained binary on Linux, or a uv-managed install on macOS.
