An ESP32-S3 measures the WiFi radio channel 100 times a second. A Raspberry Pi 4 analyses it. A browser shows the result live. No camera, no PIR sensor, nothing worn — and it detects a person sitting perfectly still by picking up their chest moving as they breathe. --- Support this project If you found this project helpful and want to support its development, consider dropping a tip! This is the hard one, and the thing PIR sensors get wrong constantly. Breathing rate 8–36 breaths/min, validated to within 0.1 bpm against known ground truth. Through walls 2.4 GHz passes through plasterboard, wood and glass. Brick and concrete attenuate heavily; foil-backed insulation blocks it. Activity class empty / still / subtle / active / vigorous.
