It operates through a conversational interface and is designed to run efficiently on consumer-grade hardware. Key features include a customizable Core Protocol for enhanced reasoning, a modular Toolchain for dynamic tool chaining (code execution, web browsing, and image generation), a long-term memory Codex, and teleoperation via Telegram for remote access. If left idle, MAGI will proactively assess the situation to decide whether to continue ongoing tasks, engage in conversation, or remain silent, based on its personality and the current context. Built and tested on Debian stable (recommended). On other OSes, use the Docker setup. Configuration You can customize MAGI by editing the file config.cfg . The main options are: TEMPERATURE: model temperature (default: 1.0) CONTEXT SIZE: number of tokens in the context window (default & minimum: 131072) HEARTBEAT SECONDS: seconds since the last action start before MAGI runs a background thought loop to determine whether further action is required. If an action is in progress, the loop is deferred until the action completes.
