Lives in the system tray. Detects when you start typing in the wrong layout, switches it, and retypes the last word — like a friendly poltergeist that haunts your keyboard. 🌐 Deutsch · Español · Français · Українська Live capture, unedited timing: ñ sits on the US ; key, so Spanish typed on an English layout comes out as ma;ana — PolterType fixes the word the moment it ends and switches the layout with it, so por la tarde lands correctly as typed. Status: v0.17.0 — out of beta since v0.1.0. Works end-to-end on Windows and on Linux (both Wayland and X11); the spelling- suggestions tooltip renders on Hyprland, Sway, KDE Plasma and X11 (GNOME Wayland gets it through XWayland), on Windows since 0.11.0 , where it appears above the focused window rather than at the caret, and on macOS since 0.15.0 , where it follows the caret in applications that report one. On Linux/Wayland a correction holds your keystrokes back while it types and replays them behind itself, so carrying straight on with the next word no longer scrambles the result — except behind an input remapper such as keyd, where PolterType stands down and falls back to detecting and repairing instead (docs/PERMISSIONS.md). The same hold-back exists on Windows and stays off by default ( POLTERTYPE HOLD KEYS=1 ) — 0.11.0 is the first release where it has run on real hardware, and what that showed is that it works and costs a noticeable delay after every correction,","default_branch":null,"files":null,"tree":[],"storefront":"/r/Just-Code-NET","claimed":false,"request_supported":{"post":"https://gitbuyer.com/r/Just-Code-NET/PolterType/request-supported","requests":0},"note":"indexed from public GitHub; nothing is for sale on this page.
