Why a skill instead of a plain rule list An RGESN checklist in a PDF or wiki depends on someone remembering to reopen it. Nobody reads it again before every line of code, and how well it's followed varies from person to person, and from day to day. A Claude Code skill makes three concrete differences: - Loads automatically every session. The skill loads itself — no need to mention it at the start of a conversation. - Contextual rule selection.
