Ask the assistant what you're looking for in plain language; it searches arXiv (and optionally the web) and surfaces results as clickable cards. Click one and the PDF opens in the left panel with a paper-aware assistant in the right panel — the paper's full text is injected into the conversation, so you can discuss the actual content, highlight, annotate, and sync notes to Zotero. Bring your own OpenAI-compatible API key — no quotas, no shared accounts, no vendor lock-in. OpenAI, an OpenAI-compatible Anthropic gateway, local Ollama with the OpenAI shim, one-api/new-api, etc. all work.
