Goals: - develop modular, open source components - be an editor people enjoy using - support cool [extensions][chimekit] Features: - completions - command line tool - document/project-scoped search - editorconfig - [extensions][chimekit] - file navigator - multiple cursors - Quick Look Preview extension - semantic symbol information - Shortcuts extension (text highlighting) - structure highlighting - syntax highlighting (three-phase: patterns, tree-sitter, and LSP) - textual/symbolic quick open - UI theming Usage To install Chime's Quick Look Preview extension and Shortcuts, you must do two things: - Launch the app - Select a theme from Chime Settings After that, you can quit and not touch it again. However, to get automatic updates, you must also re-launch the app from time to time. But that's, of course, totally optional. Extensions Chime has an extension system, backed by [ChimeKit][chimekit].
