Game, web, mobile, desktop — one engine, same logic everywhere. --- History & Evolution (ARED to ARE) Every engine starts with a spark. ARE was born from an earlier conceptual framework called ARED (Action, Rule, Event-Driven Architecture). While ARED laid down the theoretical groundwork of decoupling events, rules, and actions to avoid tightly coupled spaghetti code, ARE evolved this concept into a highly optimized, production-ready engine. What started as a structural design pattern is now a fluent, multi-language ecosystem. Why ARE? (Engine Philosophy) There are many rule engines and workflow tools out there. It is important to know where ARE fits in the ecosystem: Feature Heavyweight Rule Engines (e.g., Rete-based) Expression Evaluators ARE Engine :--- :--- :--- :--- Primary Goal Complex, intersecting business rules Executing string-based math/logic Lightweight event-action pipeline Architecture Often dictates your entire system design Used for dynamic formulas Non-intrusive (Plugs into any logic) Learning Curve Steep Moderate Very Low (Fluent API) Cross-Platform Usually locked to one language (.NET/Java) Locked to one language C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, Dart Dependencies High Medium Zero-dependency Execution Stateful (remembers previous states) Stateless (evaluates strings) Stateless Pipeline (with Middleware) Choose ARE if: You need a fast, predictable, and strongly-typ","default_branch":null,"files":null,"tree":[],"storefront":"/r/BeratARPA","claimed":false,"request_supported":{"post":"https://gitbuyer.com/r/BeratARPA/ARE/request-supported","requests":0},"note":"indexed from public GitHub; nothing is for sale on this page.
